This app is intended for use by families where parents manage content for their children. The mobile app is designed for children, while the web portal is designed for parents/guardians.

Information We Collect

Information Provided by Parents (via Web Portal only)

• Account Information: Email address and password (securely hashed) for parent account creation
• Family Information: A name to identify the family/child profile
• Content: Videos and media files uploaded by parents for their children to view

Information Collected from Devices

• Device Identifier: A unique ID to link the child's device to the parent's account
• Sync Status: Information about which content has been downloaded for offline viewing

How We Use Information

1. Device Linking: To connect the child's device to the parent-managed account via QR code
2. Content Delivery: To sync parent-approved videos to the child's device
3. Offline Playback: To store videos locally for viewing without internet
4. Account Management: To allow parents to manage their family's content library

Parental Consent

Leo's Player requires verifiable parental consent through the following process:

1. Parents must create an account on the web portal using their email address
2. Parents must verify their email address
3. Parents must actively link a child's device by generating and scanning a QR code
4. Parents set a PIN to protect settings on the child's device

This process ensures that a parent or guardian has explicitly consented to their child using the app and has control over all content.

Parental Rights

Parents/guardians have the right to:

• Review: See all content in their family library via the web portal
• Delete: Remove any content, unlink devices, or delete the entire account
• Control: Manage what content is available to their children
• Refuse: Choose not to provide information (this may limit app functionality)
• Request: Ask for a copy of all data associated with their account

Data Storage and Security

• Parent account data is stored on secure servers with encryption
• Videos are stored on secure cloud storage and downloaded to devices for offline viewing
• We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Access to parent accounts requires secure authentication
• We do not store payment information (the app is free with no in-app purchases)

Data Retention

• Account data is retained while the account is active
• Content is stored until deleted by the parent
• If an account is deleted, all associated data is removed within 30 days
• Unlinked devices are removed from our system immediately

Third-Party Services

Leo's Player uses minimal third-party services for infrastructure only:

• Cloud Storage: For storing uploaded videos on secure servers
• Content Delivery: For delivering videos to devices

These services are used only for core functionality and do not collect data for advertising purposes. No third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media SDKs are used in the children's app.

International Users

Leo's Player complies with:

• COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act - United States)
• GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation - European Union)
• GDPR-K provisions for children's data protection

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes that affect children's privacy, we will notify parents via email and/or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By creating an account and linking your child's device, you consent to this Privacy Policy and confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child using the app.
